To implement a national Pediatric Physical Training Program for children with muscular dystrophies and other gross motor developmental problems or disorders. This would help to promote muscle growth, maintenance, and improve overall health that would lead to less severe health issues and surgeries later thus making it more cost efficient for preventative measures. It would also be more cost efficient to have physical trainers rather than physical therapists to work with these children daily and then to have physical therapists to monitor their progress on a monthly basis. These physical therapists should be provided by California’s budget through California Children’s Services. This program will help to lengthen many life expectancies and provide better chances for healthier implementation of later developments and possible cures that may be available.

This program should be made available to all families so that their children could benefit from a vigorous Physical Training program that they themselves may not have the knowledge to implement or the physical strength and conditioning to implement by themselves without the help of individual trainers. The optimum implementation of this program would be to be offered five days a week in some type of after-school program. This could be made possible by also trying to receive grants and establish relationships with such government programs as the YMCA and other larger Non-Profit foundations such as the MDA association as well as other state funded programs. If the YMCA could provide free facility access to disabilities, non profit associations with an invested value could provide salaries to physical trainers, CCS could provide physical therapist as monthly monitor, and LA’s Best (a program that offers free after school child care to all families and their children who have the need except to disabled children who require an AA or care giver while in school) to allow a small percent of their budget to help pay for the after school program, we can help to make this program a success.
